I really enjoyed the Straight Up mix a few weeks back and decided to check out some more sets from the CMYK Soundcloud page. As a fan of deep house this one caught my eye. While enjoyable, it just didn’t seem to have the same magic as Straight Up. But maybe it’s not the music, maybe it’s just me. Thoughts? House Heads Anonymous rates this: 4/5

This week we bring you a TRIBE mix. There are over a dozen faciendo tribesmen and women around the world who work towards every episode together. There is only so much music we can fit into 1hr, so not every member’s discoveries can fit in each episode, but this week seven different members of the community have their musical finds featured. This editions journey was led by faciendo elder Dory who worked with all the faciendo community and represents a vision of the whole tribe. She is a super talent as you will hear, but also every tribe member in faciendo is as important as the next, as without just one of their musical contributions to this weeks tribe mix, the mix would not have come together like it did. As a musical tribe we all depend on each other equally to be able to deliver to you these bi-weekly musical trips.
So a big shout out from Faciendo to all the tribespeople & contributors who make the journey possible each episode, and this week in particular thanks to Dory, balErik, Tom Morgan, Klaus (DJ Quaterman), Vadim, Stuart Johnson & Desyn, who’s musical discoveries you will hear in this weeks soundtrack.
Elroy says: It’s been a while since a mix has made me drop what I was doing and look for a playlist. But this one did a few times. Elroy Says: Not really my thing, but I know a lot of House Heads Anonymous go for the more tech-driven or minimal stuff. Here’s a nice pack from Kramnik (not all are free, but the ones that are show the “download” arrow on the main player).
“A proper, late night progressive chugger, beautifully produced by the highly respected Kramnik. Loads of atmosphere and great big, cyclic bassline make this a pretty intense and trippy track. It doesn’t do much except creep up on you with its subtly funky groove. I’ve had my eye on this guy for some time because he’s unique. I don’t always like what he puts out, but a lot of it is simply brilliant. Breaks, dubstep, chillout, glitchy, dark and dirty, melodic, and bass heavy could be used to describe what he does… but they aren’t really accurate descriptions of his music. You’ve got to hear it for yourself.

Previous headliners have included Hernan Cattaneo, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Sharam, Satoshi Tomiie, etc. Of course, nothing beats actually being there with the professional sound and lighting, but hopefully this will help make you feel like you were right there on the dancefloor : )
